Finally! An Animation!

Yes! Yes I did! Check it out!

Information Overload

13 Aug

So sorry it’s been practically FOREVER since I posted… Fail on my part. I’ve been busy.

Well, my summer is basically over. On Monday I return to school…….Duhn duhn duhn! I’ll post up my schedule later, once it’s set in stone and whatnot. 😉

Fiat 500 presentation in Turin

Really, not much all that interesting going on. I’m ready for school and pretty darn excited! Oh, I have found out that I think I want a Fiat 500 for my first car. They’re inexpensive for a car, and they’re super cool. Check ’em out.

I have done a buttload of drawing though…so here’s a little art dump:

Oh, one more thing; I think I’m scrapping the Quorra costume thing. It’d be too much effort. I think I’m going to just buy an original Star Trek dress thing, and then wear some leggings with it and borrow a pair of boots from a friend. Much easier. 😉

Well…That’s all for now! Promise to have a bigger update when I have more news… 😛

God bless,

Human After All

2 Aug

This was my project for a few days. I spent a really long time sketching this for a few days, and then like…four to six hours. On the computer doing the line art, color, and the ‘special effects’ and the background.

I’m pleased with the outcome! 🙂

Are you Ready for Some AIRPLANES?!

11 Jul

Tomorrow, my mom and I are going out to AL! The plane is departing at 7:00am from a nearby airport, then we land in Dallas around 12:00pm (Local time), have a two hour layover, and I think we get to AL around 4:00 or 5:00…I don’t remember which. It’s not the first time I’ve been on a plane, so no worries. 😛

Although, getting to the airport by 6:00am means I’ll have to wake up at 5:00amish… D: Not looking forward to that. But I’ll be hitting the hay probably around 9:30-10 tonight, so I should be able to catch some sleep, and then sleep on the plane as well. I’m bringing my Nook along as well, so I’ll probably make a mid-flight post or something.

I’m also bringing my sketchbook, so I’ll try and do some drawing too. I don’t know if I’ll be able to upload any art though…I don’t remember if the printer my Mammaw has has a scanner in it…But she does have a Mac, so maybe I can post a podcast or something.

What’s weird, though, is the flight we’re taking to Dallas, my mom and I aren’t sitting together! Weird. She’s in the row in front of me, but we’re both in the middle. And we both get nauseous on plane trips. 😐 (We both have some pre-flight Dramamine though, which helps. But it tastes yucky!) Either someone will offer to switch seats (…Which I’m unsure of. Ooh, give up my window seat for a middle seat?? “SIGN ME UP!” in the words of Tom Servo.) or I’ll have to stay. And maybe, I’ll be sitting next to Benedict Cumberbatch and Jeff Bridges! Or a talking cat and a wizard! Or James Bond and Rinzler! (That might be a bit scary.) Or Kermit the Frog and Spock! Or Riker and Mycroft Holmes! …Well maybe not that last one…

Well, I should probably go and finish packing.

See you later! 🙂

God bless,

Big Update Thing

9 Jul

It’s been a while since I posted anything, so I figured I would give you an update on life and stuff!

Cover of

Cover of Shane

First off, I finished two more books! “The Andromeda Strand” and “Shane.” I’m going to try and make some podcasts about then today. Both were very good in different ways; Andromeda Strand was a Sci-Fi thriller, good but scary. Shane was a Western, and it is now one of my all-time favorite books. If you ever get the chance to read either of them, you should. Very, very good books.

Tron (film)

Image via Wikipedia

Also, my mom signed us up for full Netflix, and I was setting up the cue, and seeing as I wanted to see the original TRON (we just watched the sequel) I put it on the cue! And I got it.

AND I LOVED IT.

Seriously though, a very good movie! Sure, the effects were lame (It was the 80s!), and the score was awful (It was the 80s!), but how can you possibly get over all the very “It was the 80s!” stuff about the costuming? It was like watching a period drama! Not to mention that Tron was just super awesome. And Jeff Bridges! I LOVED him in this movie. In Legacy he was very serious, but in this one he was more of the goober that I see him being in real life. I liked that.

So of course I do some fan art.

Greetings Programs

And I added a couple of shirts from the movie, which I will be ordering as soon as my mom gives the okay.

I’ve been drawing lots of other things, but I don’t really want to spend ten minutes uploading stuff, so check out my deviantART page. Maybe I’ll post an art dump later, but not now. 😛

In other news, I’m leaving for Alabama on the 12th! My mom has lots of relatives out there, and we try togo every couple of years. We’re staying at my Mammaw’s house. 😉

I have no clue what time we’re leaving (If I could guess, sometime probably around 8:00am), but I do know that we’re arriving at 4:00pm. I know that airports have WiFi, so I’ll probably try and update during a lay-over. Do airplanes have WiFi? Let me see…I think they do. I dunno. My mom just said the airplane takes off at 7:00…And you usually have to get there at least an hours early… D:

But anyways, while I’m in Alabama, I’ll have easy access to the computer. We bought my Mammaw one a while ago, and she never really uses it, so I can check my accounts and I will definitely update the blog. 🙂

Well…That’s really about it! I’ll try and update some more and I will work on some podcasts today.

God bless,

Tron! Yay!

Guess who watched TRON: LEGACY two nights ago… 😀

The redesigned Light cycle as featured in the ...

Image via Wikipedia

Yep. I liked that movie better the second time around. The music is always awesome (Ask my mom, she’ll tell you how I was getting all excited and stuff.) and visually, oh my gosh it’s amazing! The plot was a little easier to follow this time, and I figured things out that I didn’t the first time (Zeus/Castor wasn’t an ISO! Ohhh.) and I enjoyed it more. It also inspired me to dress up as Quorra for Halloween! Thing is though, most of the costumes are expensive and don’t look that good, so I’m making my own. So I did some research and found that a few ladies had made some very nice costumes by themselves, so I looked around Google images a bit and drew up a quick plan (link to what I drew up) for a simplified costume.

First off, you have to know what Quorra looks like. Here we go:

Quorra

So, a basic break-down of her outfit is as follows:

  • A short tunic-thing, looks like leather, with light-strips criss-crossing it. Sleeveless. (This’ll be kinda tricky to find because it’s so odd looking!)
  • An off the shoulder long-sleeved shirt with some light bands and the leathery stuff from the tunic covering some parts. (For this, I’m not quite sure what I’m doing with it yet. It’ll be a bit simplified, but I don’t know how much.)
  • A light disc (Shouldn’t be too hard to find, they have them at lots of places.)
  • Some leathery looking leggings, with a light strip going down one leg. (Finding some black, shiny leggings shouldn’t be hard.)
  • Some calf-high boots with lights on them. (My friend’s sister said she has the boots and would lend them to me.)

That’s a lot! I’ve omitted the saber thing, just because no one will care about it. 😛

So, I went down with my mom and a friend today to the part of town where you can buy just about any kind of abnormal thing you want. Prom dress? Sure. Very inexpensive suits? Of course. Slightly creepy toys? Yep. Pirated movies? Oh yes.

I asked my mom’s friend, who knows much more about downtown (that’s where we were) than we do, and I asked if she knew where I could get some black, shiny leggings. We walked down a few rather long blocks and we looked around for a shop she had seen some in, but we couldn’t find it. We were about to give up hope when we walked into one store and she asked. Sure enough, the lady went, opened up a drawer, and had some! I bought them for $15, and then we went on. (Yeah, no tax. Just $15 flat. It’s cool down there because sometimes you don’t have to pay some random amount of money.)

We were going into some other shops, and I decided to ask her if she had seen any really long gloves. I had been thinking about using some shoulder-length gloves for the sleevey-bits on my costume, and sure enough, she did! And it was right around the corner. So, walked into a shop, and sure enough, they had some long, black gloves. I bought them (with two dollars from my mom) for $6.62. (Hey, some people charge tax too.)

We had been downtown for around four hours, and we were all getting sore and tired of smelling onions and meat and crowded streets, so we left.

I went home and tried on my items; the leggings fit fine (a little loose in a few places, but overall fine), but the gloves had a habit of slipping down further than I wanted to. I think what I’ll do is buy an off-the-shoulders shirt, tuck the sleeves into the gloves, and then the gloves will stay AND my outfit will be more accurate! Yippee!

I’ll keep you posted on all the costume-coming-alongs.

God bless,

I asked my mom if we could go and buy an Identity Disk tomorrow, so hopefully we can and I can get that out of the way.

From the Nook

28 Jun

Yep! I was bored and on the Nook, so I decided to write a post! I’m listening to Owl City on Pandira and just chilling. I’ll probably do some reading in a few minutes. 😉

That was it! Haha.

Book Review – Death Cloud

28 Jun

Sorry I didn’t post it last night!

Anywho, a mid-length podcast. Sorry it’s so long…There was a lot to talk about.

I’ll try and do another podcast, be it a review or just a normal one, soon. I’m prently reading “Shane”, “The Andromeda Strain”, and “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes”. My mom and I also got “TRON: LEGACY” and “Annie Get Your Gun” from the library, so maybe I’ll do a movie review too.

Well, that’s about it! I’m off to the dentist!
