Information Overload

13 Aug

So sorry it’s been practically FOREVER since I posted… Fail on my part. I’ve been busy.

Well, my summer is basically over. On Monday I return to school…….Duhn duhn duhn! I’ll post up my schedule later, once it’s set in stone and whatnot. 😉

Fiat 500 presentation in Turin

Really, not much all that interesting going on. I’m ready for school and pretty darn excited! Oh, I have found out that I think I want a Fiat 500 for my first car. They’re inexpensive for a car, and they’re super cool. Check ’em out.

I have done a buttload of drawing though…so here’s a little art dump:

Oh, one more thing; I think I’m scrapping the Quorra costume thing. It’d be too much effort. I think I’m going to just buy an original Star Trek dress thing, and then wear some leggings with it and borrow a pair of boots from a friend. Much easier. 😉

Well…That’s all for now! Promise to have a bigger update when I have more news… 😛

God bless,

Tron! Yay!

30 Jun

Guess who watched TRON: LEGACY two nights ago… 😀

The redesigned Light cycle as featured in the ...

Image via Wikipedia

Yep. I liked that movie better the second time around. The music is always awesome (Ask my mom, she’ll tell you how I was getting all excited and stuff.) and visually, oh my gosh it’s amazing! The plot was a little easier to follow this time, and I figured things out that I didn’t the first time (Zeus/Castor wasn’t an ISO! Ohhh.) and I enjoyed it more. It also inspired me to dress up as Quorra for Halloween! Thing is though, most of the costumes are expensive and don’t look that good, so I’m making my own. So I did some research and found that a few ladies had made some very nice costumes by themselves, so I looked around Google images a bit and drew up a quick plan (link to what I drew up) for a simplified costume.

First off, you have to know what Quorra looks like. Here we go:

Quorra

So, a basic break-down of her outfit is as follows:

  • A short tunic-thing, looks like leather, with light-strips criss-crossing it. Sleeveless. (This’ll be kinda tricky to find because it’s so odd looking!)
  • An off the shoulder long-sleeved shirt with some light bands and the leathery stuff from the tunic covering some parts. (For this, I’m not quite sure what I’m doing with it yet. It’ll be a bit simplified, but I don’t know how much.)
  • A light disc (Shouldn’t be too hard to find, they have them at lots of places.)
  • Some leathery looking leggings, with a light strip going down one leg. (Finding some black, shiny leggings shouldn’t be hard.)
  • Some calf-high boots with lights on them. (My friend’s sister said she has the boots and would lend them to me.)

That’s a lot! I’ve omitted the saber thing, just because no one will care about it. 😛

So, I went down with my mom and a friend today to the part of town where you can buy just about any kind of abnormal thing you want. Prom dress? Sure. Very inexpensive suits? Of course. Slightly creepy toys? Yep. Pirated movies? Oh yes.

I asked my mom’s friend, who knows much more about downtown (that’s where we were) than we do, and I asked if she knew where I could get some black, shiny leggings. We walked down a few rather long blocks and we looked around for a shop she had seen some in, but we couldn’t find it. We were about to give up hope when we walked into one store and she asked. Sure enough, the lady went, opened up a drawer, and had some! I bought them for $15, and then we went on. (Yeah, no tax. Just $15 flat. It’s cool down there because sometimes you don’t have to pay some random amount of money.)

We were going into some other shops, and I decided to ask her if she had seen any really long gloves. I had been thinking about using some shoulder-length gloves for the sleevey-bits on my costume, and sure enough, she did! And it was right around the corner. So, walked into a shop, and sure enough, they had some long, black gloves. I bought them (with two dollars from my mom) for $6.62. (Hey, some people charge tax too.)

We had been downtown for around four hours, and we were all getting sore and tired of smelling onions and meat and crowded streets, so we left.

I went home and tried on my items; the leggings fit fine (a little loose in a few places, but overall fine), but the gloves had a habit of slipping down further than I wanted to. I think what I’ll do is buy an off-the-shoulders shirt, tuck the sleeves into the gloves, and then the gloves will stay AND my outfit will be more accurate! Yippee!

I’ll keep you posted on all the costume-coming-alongs.

God bless,

I asked my mom if we could go and buy an Identity Disk tomorrow, so hopefully we can and I can get that out of the way.

NOOOOOOOOK

18 Jun

I got a NookColor! It’s like the coolest thing ever.

I’ve been fiddling around on it. I don’t have many books (Complete Sherlock Holmes and the Bible is all) but it’s still cool! It has Internet access and lets you do Pandora. Pandora is this thing I just discovered. It’s Internet radio, and it tries to give you music that you might like based on what you tell it you like. Cool!

So now I can google pictures and draw at the same time, and I can save paper. I like that. 😉

Well, off to do some drawing and listen to some Electronic music!

Gonna Be Busy, But I’ll Update

4 Jun

Today will be another busy day, but I figured I’d tell you about why I’m so randomly busy and update you on life to boot!

I had a very busy day yesterday. I actually woke up at around 7:30, and I got up really quickly to jot some stuff down for a request I’m drawing. I then spent 1.5-2 hours drawing it. Usually I can sketch in somewhere under an hour, but that’s because I use boring poses. So, I spent a good while just staring off into space thinking, and then I drew some little rough sketches on the back of a coupon thing I have, and then I picked one and started drawing.

Not only was the pose difficult to recreate, but I drew them rather small and they’re a difficult character that I’ve never drew before! So it took a while. I’ll try and color it on Tuesday and I’ll post it when I’m done.

So, now it’s about 9:00, and I get up and get on the computer. I talked to a friend on the computer for a really long time, and I finally got done probably around 12:00. So, I went and I read some Sherlock Holmes for a bit, and that put it to about 1:00. A little later my mom told me she was going to Target, and so I tagged along and got some weird combination of lunch and dinner at Wendy’s. We then went home, I ate, and we all got into the car and drove to my church.

The church I go to is kind of old, and there’s a kitchen downstairs that really needed cleaning. So from about 4:30-8:30, I was down there with my parents. Eventually my mom put me to work and I scrubbed counters, cabinets, the fridge, two ovens, and the dishwasher (which I think didn’t work). I went up at around then, because we were practically done. The church was having a Men’s Movie Night (Which I kept calling Men’s Movie Monday because that’s an alliteration) and I was standing around, eating trail-mix and a tiny bottle of water that the pastor gave me. 🙂

Close to 9:00, my mom and I left and went to eat. I wasn’t really hungry, but I had a churro and a Vanilla Coke. At around 10:00, we popped back to the church and picked up my dad, and got home at around 10:30.

So, there you have it! And, by the time I’m done writing this, turns out we won’t be having company tonight, but rather tomorrow, so hopefully I can get whatever cleaning I’m going to do done and do a podcast! Yay!

God bless,

Partying

1 Jun

Partying Partying.

YEAH.

Last night I went to an end-of-the-year party last night! It was at a local bowling alley and was a lot of fun. I knew the kids there, and it was a nice, funny batch of people, and we had a blast. The bowling-alley-people at one point turned off a lot of the lights and shined black-lights and colored lights and lasers! It was a ton of fun, and there was a disco ball and everything! It was like being at a bowling rave.

At one point, me and some other people went over to the mini-arcade that was there. I played a car game and then went over and watched some kids playing a different game.

What kind of game?

Oh, most people loathe it.

And love it.

It was…

THE CLAW!!!

Duhn duhn duuhhnn.

It seems that everybody hates these games. They say it’s gambling and evil and all that jazz, but…we play it anyways. Most of them are rigged, I will admit, but I think that bowling-alley claw games aren’t. My friend (who won me a toy from a claw game at my birthday party) got one, and another girl got four…in two tries! So, I decided to give it a whirl. I dropped two quarters in and went after an elephant. No go. 😦 My friend tried (with my money) to get it, and no go.

I slipped in another 50 cents. I could feel the other two quarters, my last, jingling around in my pocket. I decided to go for the elephant now, it was positioned pretty well. I fiddled with the joystick, moving the claw around, trying to line it up just right.

I was worried, and I double-checked once more. I decided it was time to commit: I pushed the “Grab!” button.

The claw sunk down, limply laying over the head and stomach of the toy I so badly desired. It gripped, and began to pull back up. It was still hanging onto the elephant, and it started back to the prize tank.

I waited, nervously, surrounded by my peers, cheering me on.

It neared the corner, where it was to hopefully be dropped into my waiting hands.

Almost there….!!

The claw slammed up against the side of the plastic box, dropping the elephant into the box too be grabbed up in my happy arms!

Yay!

That’s it. 😛

God bless!

Redwall Request

31 May

Sherlock Holmes in "The Adventures of She...

Image via Wikipedia

I  know. It blew my mind too.

LIKE THAT PICTURE OH YEAH.

(I’ll explain later)

In case you don’t know what I’m talking about, I was requested to do some fan art on the Redwall Wiki. DUHN DUHN DUHHNNNN.

I was a bit surprised, seeing as I am pretty much completely inactive on that website. (The incredibly low amount of users combined with the fact that I have a bad past with the place doesn’t exactly beckon me to return.) But, I found a request on my talk page that was about a week old (this was a few months ago FYI) and I decided to take it. I drew up a sketch pretty quickly and then put off the coloring bit, the most time consuming, stressful, and un-enjoyable part.

JUST LIKE OLD TIMES!

But today, seeing as it’s summer and I have nothing to do I wanted to waste some time, I did it!

As always, I didn’t design this character, just drew it.

Well, I should go and eat lunch and do something of actual value. Like reading! I’m reading a very good book, albeit very long, right now by Tony DiTerlizzi, one of my favorite artists. I’ll probably do a special book-review-podcast of the book once I’m done. And then I can attempt to finish some Sherlock Holmes! YUSSSS. (Remember the funny picture with the two men and the gun. “Ohhhh” you say. Yes, Ohhh.) Why? Number one I like it, Number two we’ve started watching the amazing show ‘Sherlock’ done by the BBC. Technically, it’s a series of three one-and-a-half hour movies (plus one unaired pilot that I have yet to have seen) and we’ve already seen two. After I watch the final one I’ll do a review of it.

I like the guy who plays Sherlock, Benedict Cumberbatch. He has cool hair.

Anyways….

Off to eat a sandwich!

God bless,

Gardening Vlog!

30 May

First off, you’re probably wondering what a ‘vlog’ is.

Well, a vlog is a combination of two words; ‘video’ and ‘blog’.

And since, my family has recently started making a garden/farm of sorts in the backyard, I thought I’d give you a somewhat quick tour of it.

Check it out:

New Podcast!

27 May

Finally! Sorry for such the long wait.

School’s Out!

25 May

Finally! It took so long. But today was officially the last day. That means that summer is here! I have a somewhat busy summer planned, between taking an online course so I can take French next year, to going to Alabama to visit relatives. But, it should be fun!

I’m also planning on entering a local kids/teens film festival, and I’ve already started brainstorming for it. I’m hoping I can get a friend of mine to let me use their video camera, because the digital camera I use for book reports is okay for school things, but not bigger things. I have two ideas as of yet, one drama/sci-fi idea and one (quazi-) romantic-comedy. I have a couple of friends who I’d like to have read some lines and then cast them in. I’m very excited about it! It’ll be a great summer project.

I’m going to try and get back to posting AT LEAST once a week, hopefully more.

Well, that’s about it!

God bless,

~Agent M

Happy birthday to meee…!

15 Apr

Woo! Birthday time! 😀

Today was a good day. Busy (a bit boring at times due to upcoming CSTs), but good. I think I’m having another allergy outbreak or I’m getting a bit sick from being too busy, a bit stressed, and not sleeping well, but I’m still doing pretty good. 😉

I really don’t have much to say today! I got nominated for an award today, which was nice, and in about an hour I have to go back to school to start setting up for my school’s talent show. I will try to do a podcast tomorrow or Sunday, whenever I have time and am not too tired.

Till next time,

Agent M
