Information Overload

13 Aug

So sorry it’s been practically FOREVER since I posted… Fail on my part. I’ve been busy.

Well, my summer is basically over. On Monday I return to school…….Duhn duhn duhn! I’ll post up my schedule later, once it’s set in stone and whatnot. 😉

Fiat 500 presentation in Turin

Image via Wikipedia

Really, not much all that interesting going on. I’m ready for school and pretty darn excited! Oh, I have found out that I think I want a Fiat 500 for my first car. They’re inexpensive for a car, and they’re super cool. Check ’em out.

I have done a buttload of drawing though…so here’s a little art dump:

Oh, one more thing; I think I’m scrapping the Quorra costume thing. It’d be too much effort. I think I’m going to just buy an original Star Trek dress thing, and then wear some leggings with it and borrow a pair of boots from a friend. Much easier. 😉

Well…That’s all for now! Promise to have a bigger update when I have more news… 😛

God bless,

Doctor Who “A Good Man Goes to War” – Review

11 Jun

Shorter review this time, I promise!

So, just finished watching the half-season-finale, “A Good Man Goes to War.”

First off:

The Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond

(Spoiler warning now)

Headless monks were FREAKY. Seriously. Ughhh scary. War chant stuff and everything….!!!

I really liked the big series 5/6 reunion though. Usually they don’t bring ANYBODY back. Doctor’s Daughter Jenny, Human!Doctor (10), NO ONE. So the big reunion was nice. I had to think back a bit, though, to remember who people were. A second go-around really helped, too.

Flesh-baby was downright scary though. Really scary. I did NOT see that coming.

That entire episode was confusing, but I must say that the ending was fairly easy to follow. And I say fairly. It was sad and happy and scary, and so good. One of my favorite episodes, definitely. I’ve loved the show even more since Matt Smith and Stephen Moffet got on board.

Melody River Pond Song was just kinda crazy though. I liked it though. Kinda makes sense…I think. I did NOT see it coming though. At all. It was so good…I mean, River was all yelling at him one minute and then BAM! she’s like, “Hey I’m Melody Pond.” And then his face and his reaction! Genius. And giggling. 😛

I actually thought she was his mom at first…But this is a lot better. Didn’t go the easy route.

Rory Williams

Rory! Rory Rocks.

I think, this is just a thought, but I don’t think Rory and Amy will stay much longer. Amy was pretty dang ticked, so I bet that at the season break, pop, they’ll be off. The whole creepy poem thing kind of foreshadowed that.

But I liked Rory! Great writing/acting for him. Rory rocks. Lone Centurion, HECK YEAH! Rory is one of my favorite companions. Pond too, but Rory rocks.

A great episode for a great season!

Another Dreamful Night

13 Aug

Remember a while back I had a night where I had three very different, very weird dreams? Well, I had another tri-dream night. I remember having three dreams, but I can only really remember the full details of one.

In my dream, I met David Tennant.

This is my SECOND TIME when I had a dream where I met him. Except in this one I didn’t run up, hug him, and yell “I LOVE YOU!”

I had won some contest where I got to hang out with him for a day. I remember he was nice but wasn’t speaking in an accent (Which is just weird). He also didn’t have sideburns. I love sideburns. ❤

Anyways, I got to hang out with him and stuff. I remember what his car looked like too. It was a black Audi or Nissan or something. And there were a bunch of bumper stickers for skateboard/surfer stuff. Odd.

In my dream he also had a daughter about my age who liked Sci Fi (I mean, if your dad was the star of an insanely popular Sci Fi show, HOW COULDN’T YOU LOVE SCI FI?). She had a mouse pad with Rodney McKay from Stargate: Atlantis. I liked Rodney a lot (even though he was really arrogant).

-Comes back after eating a sandwich and Doctor Who is on. Ironic, huh?-

Anyways, so I hung out and talked a bit (although I remember it took me forever to start talking…Which probably wouldn’t be true. I’d just babble non-stop) about the show and what not.

RIGHT as I was about to ask for a picture/autograph from him for myself and for my friend Kelsey, I woke up. I was sad. 😦

Well, now I’m watching Star Trek and might work on a ‘Trek meme.

Have a good Friday! 😀

Just read this:

Johnny Depp rumored to star in Doctor Who big-budget film

…Johnny Depp as a Time Lord … that we’re not so sure of….And yet that’s what we might be seeing on the big screen a few years from now if the info uncovered by is correct….But the trustworthy did some digging on its own, reaching out to studio sources who said that “the casting of Johnny Depp as the Doctor for a 2012 film is confirmed.”

No. No. Next they’ll be casting Paris Hilton (once she gets out of jail in South Africa for having Marijuana) as Rose! COME ON!

This BETTER not be true. Our good chaps in England are very peeved at the fact that Depp isn’t a Brit; I mean, sure, I can see that. If they’re making an American version and recasting it (Which I don’t think is a good idea.), okay, cast an American, but it’s a BRITISH THING. It would be like having Brad Pitt be James Bond. Ew.

Okay, when I look at bow ties and colored scarves and the like, I think whimsical spacey-timey-wimey-fun. When I look at Johnny Depp, I think Pirate of the Caribbean, which was a good movie, but I also think weirdo. And because Depp and Tim Burton, a freaky person who writes freaky movies, are such Buddies, are we going to have him working on it!? So now Doctor Who will be marketed to the general public as a creepy morbid film. Whoop-dee-do.

There isn’t as much of a Doctor Who craze out here as there is in England. A lot of people watch it, but you couldn’t go running down the streets screaming, “I’M WEARING A VEGETABLE!!” and people actually getting what your saying. So, if they try to market Doctor Who out here by making a movie in 2012, and it turns out awful and weird, what are the people here going to do? Watch it? No. Or, maybe they will. Maybe the people of the U.S. like dark, morbid, weird Sci-Fi, like Battlestar: Galactica, or Stargate: Universe. Have they outgrown the happy-go-lucky Science Fiction we know in the forms of Star Trek and Doctor Who? The 1960s Sci-Fi ideas were some of the better, in my opinion. Not like a running gag, but there is humor in it to lighten it up, and nothing is always so dark and unhumorous.

Don’t do it Russel T. Davies, DON’T DO IT!!

Illiminate the Impossible, and Whatever Remains, No Matter How Improbable, is the Truth

Yes, I finished Sherlock Holmes! REVIEW TIME!!

Book: “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes” by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Okay, so this book is a collection of short stories by Sir Doyle, who write fabulous mystery novels. I have never been so gripped and curious about what lay at the end of this magical twenty-paged story.

I do love Sherlock Holmes stories; they are so…amazing! I love being proved wrong in my guessing, too.

My favorites were “The Adventure of the Red-Headed League”, “The Adventure of the Beryl Coronet”, “and “The Adventure of the Copper Beeches”. All were great stories!

Now, let me just get this out of the way: Sherlock Holmes does cocaine and opium (Opium is a hallucinogenic drug). Now, before you rip up all your Sherlock Holmes books, back then, cocaine and opium were not illegal; they could be purchased and used legally. Now, throughout the books, Watson nags Holmes about his drug usage, telling him how it’s unhealthy and such. But that’s just a little warning.

But these books are positively splendid! Great work, again, Sir Doyle!

I also have some funny news and some bad news.

Bad news first.

This Monday and Tuesday (The 14th and 25th of June), and July 16-23, I will not be making any new posts. I’ll be gone most of the day doing something.

Funny news:

So, my dad, my mom, and I are watching the new Doctor Who last night. My mom says, “I bet that the Sycorax are under there! Remember, the babies?”

A quick definition of “sycorax”.

My mom was thinking of Racnoss. But she said Sycorax instead.

Anyways, so my mom says that and my dad says something along the lines of,

“Don’t do Sycorax. They’re bad for you.”

He’s playing on the word “Sycorax” and “cigarettes”, because if you say them fast, they sound similar. Try it!

I am going to illustrate that someday.

(Doctor Who joke. So if you don’t watch Doctor Who… 😦 )

Sweet Dreams Are Made of This

11 Jun

Yes, very famous song.

I had…four? Yes, four dreams last night. All were pretty good dreams too. I’ll go in order:

I had a dream that I was in a room, like a set or an after party or something. I’m looking around the room, wondering if I’ll see David Tennant (I know, random, right?). And lo! and behold, who do I see? David Tennant. So I run up to him and say, “I LOVE YOU!” And then I got my picture taken with him, but it was on him phone, so I wanted him to text it to my phone and my email. But it was a hassle. And he talked kind of funny; not how he normally talked.

Second dream was that I was in a movie with William Shatner. AKA Captain Kirk. And it was a Star trek movie. That was cool. I like William Shatner. Like I told my mom while watching Star Trek: Generations, “Meet, Captain Kirk! He’s, like, 40 years old and still looking HOT!!!!”

I am weird….

Thirdly, I had a dream that me an a bunch of my classmates (All I remember were my friends Shannon and Joey) were in a sequel to a movie. It was something around the premise of “Cheaper by the Dozen” or some funny, family/kids movie. But…What was weird was, that number one, my friend Joey had been in the original one. So, then, the set burns down. Okay. But, the set was in a residential area, and the movie people are all, “Joey, remember where the other set is? Go show them and find it.” So here me and 15 some odd kids are wandering the streets, having Joey look for a set house. Yeah…

Lastly, I had a dream that I rode my bike to the summit of Everest. IF that’s not enough, I was wheelying the entire way. I was the second fastest bike-wheelie-er-to-the-summit, and that some organization was going to invite me to a little luncheon thing for doing it. And still, the guy who got first place was kind of disputed, because apparently he witnessed somebody attempting suicide, but didn’t stop and help, and that somehow made him faster…? Oh, and at the summit was an Indian village. Meaning India Indian village. Yeah. And there was this girl who was named Elizabeth was was hiding out there and being called Mia. I forget why. And then something happened and I was walking with a bunch of people and there was a tiger in there, and it freaked me out.

So how was your REM cycle?
